The Face behind
Beautiful Beginnings

Kia ora, I’m Bronwen, a registered midwife, registered teacher, childbirth educator, and māmā to Benny and Harry. I also created Beautiful Beginnings antenatal courses right here in Christchurch.

After working as an LMC and hospital-based midwife and helping countless māmās across their parenting journey, I have an in-depth knowledge of the physiology of pregnancy, birth, and newborn babies. As the go-to person for family, friends, and colleagues, I realised there's a real need for accessible, engaging education. My background as a registered teacher means I know how to deliver our antenatal course in a way that speaks to people like you—it's all about making sure you're not just informed but excited and empowered for this incredible journey ahead.

I am so passionate about you knowing your options and ensuring that you take the lead in your care that I have created the course content to be relevant, based on evidence and best practices, and specific to our locality. There will be a few anecdotal moments based on recent real-life experiences and plenty of moments to reflect on what you want for your pregnancy, birth, and fourth trimester.

This will enable you to feel that completing the course gives you the confidence to make the choices that best support you and your babe and give you a positive experience from the beginning.
